Parkgate is famous for its abundance of wildlife. Since the silting up of the Dee Estuary, it has become home to many species of wildlife and inpartucular a large selection of birds. Parkgate has become a national hotspot for bird watchers and enthusiasts.
Can be seen close in shore at high tide.

Can be seen on the Burton side of the Quay.
The high tide brings in flocks of ducks at high tide
Can be seen flying past en route to nesting in Burton.
Can be seen from the Neston Old Quay.

Can be spotted in the Neston Reed Bed.
Usually spotted in the Autumn.
